Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist for our laboratory team. Phlebotomist – Laboratory – PRN

Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital, stand-alone, not-for-profit hospital located in Ste. Genevieve, MO that focuses on personalized care. Requirements
What to expect as a Phlebotomist:
  • Perform order entry, obtaining pertinent patient information and determine specimen collection requirements.
  • Perform proper specimen collection by confirming patient ID, collect specimens in proper tubes utilizing venipuncture/capillary techniques and accurately label specimens to ensure accurate patient results.
  • Process and handle specimens appropriately to maintain sample integrity.
  • Perform receptionist and clerical duties.
  • Handle patients of all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.
  • Communicate well, have excellent customer service, and strong team-building skills.
Qualifications:
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience in phlebotomy or completion of an Accredited Phlebotomy Program with successful completion of experience practicum is desirable.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required.
  • Experience with venous and capillary collection for all age groups
  • PBT (ASCP) or equivalent National phlebotomy certification, preferred.
