Job summary

Labcorp in West Monroe, LA is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team. The role includes blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, specimen handling, data entry, and delivering excellent patient service.

Schedule: Mon-Thu 8:00am–5:00pm; Fri 8:00am–12:00pm; travel to additional sites may be required. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or completed training (or 3+ months experience).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Able to pass a color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
