Job summary

3:15 is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team and contribute to improving community health. You will draw blood, prepare specimens, and ensure accurate sample collection while maintaining high safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of medical facility experience, a Phlebotomy certification (preferred), and strong communication and organizational skills to support efficient patient care in a busy setting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in a medical facility.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and medical laws and ethics.
  • Excellent dexterity and able to remain focused at all times.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients.
  • Verify patients' medical histories.
  • Prepare patients before drawing blood.
  • Explain blood draw procedures and answer questions.
  • Maintain sanitary work areas per health protocols.
  • Identify best needle size and location for draws.
  • Ensure correct use of collection tubes and containers.
  • Proficient in blood sampling techniques.
  • Gather testing materials and supplies.
  • Verify patient information and label samples.
  • Update patient information in the database.
  • Help nervous patients stay calm during draws.
  • Follow directions of supervising physicians.
  • Analyze blood specimens when needed.
  • Clean, maintain, and calibrate equipment.
  • Restock the lab and order supplies.
  • Perform routine in-office tests (Glucose, Strep/Flu, Urinalysis, EKG, TB test, remote monitoring).
  • Full-time 36-40 hour week.
