Job summary

Sunrise Medical Laboratories, Inc. in Brentwood, NY is seeking a phlebotomist to join our patient-focused team. You will perform venipuncture on patients of all ages, collect and prepare specimens, and ensure proper labeling and test ordering.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy training or experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer and data entry skills required.
• Bonus: 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
• Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians (ASPT) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care and customer-focused service.
• Perform venipuncture on patients of all ages.
• Collect/prepare non-blood specimens.
• Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
