Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Downey, CA team at 11480 Brookshire Avenue. The role involves blood collection, specimen handling, and data entry, with patient-focused service throughout daily operations.

The position requires a California CPT license and a high school diploma, plus 1+ month phlebotomy experience. Workweek is Mon-Fri, with occasional Saturdays and travel to sites as needed. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• California CPT phlebotomy license required.
• 1 month or more of phlebotomist experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collecting payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
