Job summary

Labcorp in Smithtown, NY is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to join our team. This role performs blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across age groups, handles specimen processing, and maintains accurate patient data.

Responsibilities include data entry, billing support, and ensuring high-quality customer service. The position requires a HS diploma and phlebotomy certification or training; travel to multiple sites may be required.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Smithtown, NY.

Work Schedule

20 hours a week; Monday - Friday 7:00am-11:00am and Saturday 7:00am- 11:30am

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Pay Range: $17.75-26.00 per hour

Benefits

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
