Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Part Time Phlebotomist to join our team at 34503 Yucaipa Blvd, Yucaipa, CA 92399. Schedule: Mon–Fri 7:00 am–12:00 pm, with possible additional hours and weekends.

Responsibilities include blood collection by venipuncture and capillary methods, data entry, billing support, and specimen preparation for testing. Requires CA CPT license, high school diploma, and phlebotomy experience; bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT).
• 3 months or more of experience as phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more phlebotomist experience with geriatrics and pediatric patients.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Able to pass a color blindness test.
• Reliable transportation.

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens and other tests.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Assist with administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when required.

Job Location and Schedule

Labcorp is seeking a Part Time Phlebotomist to join our team at 34503 Yucaipa Blvd, Yucaipa, CA 92399. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 am- 12:00 pm, additional hours and rotating weekends may be required.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collecting payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
• 3 months or more of experience as phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of experience as phlebotomist
• Current or Prior experience at LabCorp

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement
• 1 year or more phlebotomist experiences with Geriatrics and Pediatric patients
• Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation

Benefits

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.

Incentive Program

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour
