Job summary

Labcorp in Woodbridge, NJ seeks a Phlebotomist to draw blood, collect specimens, and deliver exceptional patient service. The role supports testing workflows across patient service centers and client sites.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, data entry, and processing billing while ensuring accurate specimen handling. The position may require travel and requires reliable transportation with flexibility for overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Woodbridge, NJ.

Work Schedule: Monday , Wednesday and Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm and Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Pay Range

• Pay Range: $17.75- $24.00 per hour

Benefits

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.

Phlebotomist’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Phlebotomist will work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.
