Job summary

Labcorp in Hackettstown, NJ is hiring a Phlebotomist to join our patient-centered team. Work schedule: Monday–Friday 6:45am–11:45am with rotating Saturdays 7:00am–12:00pm.

Responsibilities include blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, accurate data entry, processing of specimens, and providing excellent customer service. Minimum qualifications are a high school diploma; phlebotomy certification or training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Additional Job Standards

Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Reliable transportation Flexibility to work overtime as needed Able to pass a standardized color blindness test In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $17.75 - $27.89 per hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data Phlebotomist’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
