Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomist (Part Time) in Encinitas, CA to join a patient‑focused team and perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages. Data entry and basic billing tasks are part of the role.

Required is a High School Diploma or GED and a valid California Phlebotomy License; prior phlebotomy experience and Labcorp familiarity are preferred. Onsite training is provided; some travel may be required.

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Part Time to join our team at 499 East El Camino Real, Encinitas, CA 92024. Schedule: Monday thru Friday 7:00 am to 11:00 am, rotating Saturdays may be required.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more months of experience as a phlebotomist
• Current or prior experience with Labcorp

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to attend 2‑week training in California

We are currently seeking a phlebotomist to work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided with opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Pay Range: $23.00 - $33.00
