RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood draws, label and process specimens, and ensure specimen integrity in a fast-paced clinical lab in Owasso, OK. The role requires venipuncture experience, a phlebotomy certification, and a high school diploma or GED.

Schedule is Mon–Fri 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with contract duration of ~3 months and potential for permanent placement. Responsibilities include collecting and storing specimens, explaining venipuncture procedures,

Qualifikationen

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Aufgaben

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously for patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Understand physicians' orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens per test orders.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Answer phone inquiries and relay lab results as needed.
