Job summary

Desert View Hospital, part of The Valley Health System, seeks an experienced phlebotomist to perform venipunctures and collect patient specimens in a rural Nevada hospital setting.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and phlebotomy certification upon hire; a training program is preferred. Basic computer skills are required. Prior clinical experience as a phlebotomist or lab technician is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Acceptable phlebotomy training program.
• Phlebotomy certification required upon hire or equivalent licensure may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures and other patient specimen collections.
• Follows testing and collection requirements under moderate supervision.
