St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Per Diem Phlebotomist for the Coaldale (Miners Campus) Laboratory Services.

You will collect blood and other specimens from patients of all ages using proper collection equipment, following the Laboratory Specimen Collection Manual and Phlebotomy Procedures. Responsibilities include processing specimens, performing outpatient EKGs as needed, and maintaining clear communications with the lab central scheduler and managers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a phlebotomy program with 100 hours.
• 1-2 years of education preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and non-blood specimens from patients using appropriate collection equipment.
• Perform outpatient EKGs (as needed).
• Operate centrifuge and ensure proper specimen transfer and storage.
• Timely communications to the outpatient lab central scheduler, regional coordinators, and managers.
• Travel between sites for unscheduled absences or emergencies.

Rarely ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like using feet/legs and/or hands/arms. Rarely moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
