Job summary

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. in Columbus, TX is seeking a Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist to process requisitions, prepare patients for blood draws, and perform venipunctures and heel/finger sticks on all patients. Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of certified phlebotomy training program preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer relations and telephone skills.

• Must maintain high professional standards and confidentiality of patient information.
• Must understand the safe use of laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Process requisitions and maintain accession log.
• Prepare patients before drawing blood and perform venipunctures and finger sticks.
• Provide monthly statistics and maintain supplies from Central Stores.
• After orientation, perform dipstick testing on urine and analyze blood samples on instruments.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
