Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine seeks a clinical support technician to collect specimens and perform registration and processing under general supervision. This role includes venipuncture, patient assistance, and maintaining an orderly work area while supporting the team.

Responsibilities include preparing orders, transporting specimens, assisting training, travel to sites within 25 miles, and per diem scheduling. Requires a high school diploma and 6 months to 2 years of related experience; bilingual Spanish

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 6 months to 2 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures; communicate effectively.
• Bilingual and able to read/speak Spanish may be required based on service location.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures and collects specimens or explains collection procedures.
• Registers patients, requisitions lab orders, and verifies billing information.
• Processes, stores, and transports specimens according to requirements.
• Maintains inventory, records expenses, and supports training of new staff.
• Provides on-call/mobile service and potential travel within 25 miles as needed.
