Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Leesville, LA for Vernon Parish. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques across all ages, with data entry and patient service responsibilities at a client office setting.

Ideal candidates have phlebotomy experience in clinical or hospital environments and may have LabCorp or AstranaCare exposure. The schedule is typically Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred phlebotomy experience in a clinical/hospital environment.
• Current or prior LabCorp / AstranaCare experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Leesville, LA for Vernon Parish.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00pm pm

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
• 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)
• Current or prior LabCorp / AstranaCare experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
