Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Topeka, KS (Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM). The role includes collecting specimens, processing tests, and maintaining accurate records while upholding safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of phlebotomy experience, strong data-entry skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. English communication is essential, and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
• Must be flexible and available including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• Bilingual is preferred but not required; some pediatric experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required, per policy.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails).
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and related records timely.
