Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the Central Collecting department in Dallas. The role requires ASCP certification or equivalent and at least 3 years of hospital phlebotomy experience. Shift is Day 4am - 12:30pm, Monday to Friday.

The Phlebotomist 2 will collect and process specimens safely, adhere to BSWH procedures, and contribute to patient care quality while assisting with training and audits as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold ASCP certification or equivalent with at least 3 years of phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting.
• Education: HS Diploma/GED Equivalent.
• Experience: Less than 1 Year of Experience.
• Donor Phlebotomy Tech-ASCP (DPT) certification or Phlebotomy Tech from approved agencies (ASCP, NPA, ASPT, NCCT, NHA, AMT, NAHP, AMCA, AAH, ACA).
• OR Donor Phlebotomy Tech certification from ASCP.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process quality specimens safely following BSWH policies.
• Deliver exceptional patient care and maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Assist with training and auditing behaviors and performance.
• Follow established specimen collection, labeling, transportation, and handling procedures.
• Perform clerical duties as assigned.
• Support department goals and continuous improvement.
