Phlebotomist II Float – Worcester, MA

Phlebotomy float role with varied daily responsibilities across multiple patient centers. Shift frequently between locations and meet new patients each day. Join a community that supports learning, growth, and advancement in a Phlebotomy career.

Pay range: $23.06 - $25.48 per hour. Salary offers consider skills, training, experience, education, certifications, and organizational factors. Successful candidates may qualify for an annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities
  • Cover a territory of patient service centers, doctor’s offices, or other sites as business needs dictate.
  • Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
  • Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
  • Enter billing information and collect payment when required.
  • Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as resource advisor for new employees; act as point of contact to on‑site staff and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor.
  • Travel to additional doctor’s office or patient service center sites when needed.
  • Communicate effectively in English.
Qualifications

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience:

  • Three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum two years in a patient service center environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
