Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for Wellford, SC, working Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM with a lunch break from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM. The role includes specimen collection and data entry in a high-volume lab.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of phlebotomy experience, strong attention to detail, and reliable transportation; certification preferred. English communication is required.

Qualifications

  • Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
  • Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in CA, NV, and WA.

Responsibilities

  • Collect specimens according to established procedures.
  • Administer oral solutions according to training.
  • Verify test orders using lab systems and client contact.
  • Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
  • Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
  • Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport preparation.
  • Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, and email.
  • Maintain phlebotomy logs and statistics; complete training timely.
