Under the area supervisor, you will handle records, support process excellence, and contribute to a trustworthy patient experience in a medical research setting. Requires HS diploma; phlebotomy certification preferred; 3 years phlebotomy experience; data entry and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience required.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company to patients and create a trustworthy atmosphere.
• Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing per procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and perform blood draws in a safe, accurate manner.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and focus on process excellence while maintaining confidentiality.
• Under supervision, complete daily activities accurately, maintain records, and uphold a professional environment.

Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist II for their Suwanee, GA location.

Responsibilities:

• The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.

Requirements:
