Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist II for the O’Fallon, MO area. You will draw blood, prepare specimens for lab testing, and interact with patients to explain procedures and build trust.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 3 years phlebotomy experience, and data entry proficiency. Phlebotomy certification is preferred and healthcare/Patient Service Center experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures.
• Represent the face of the company to patients and explain procedures to build trust and confidence.
• Maintain required records and documentation; perform duties accurately and on time.
• Under supervision, perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following procedures.
• Maintain a safe, professional environment and demonstrate confidentiality and accuracy in patient information.

Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist II for their O Fallon, MO location.

Responsibilities

• The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience needed.
