Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist II for our North Fort Myers, FL location on behalf of our Medical Research client. The role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

You will interact directly with patients, explain procedures, and uphold confidentiality and accurate record-keeping. A high school diploma and phlebotomy credentials are preferred; 3 years’ experience in phlebotomy and 2 years in a Patient Service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 3 years phlebotomy experience.
• 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Explain procedures to patients and maintain an atmosphere of trust and confidence during blood draws.
• Maintain required records and documentation in a timely, accurate manner.

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist II for their North Fort Myers, FL location.

Responsibilities

• The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience needed.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
