Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist II for our Dickson, TN location to join a Medical Research company. You will draw blood samples, prepare specimens for lab testing, and interact with patients in a respectful, confidential manner.

Under supervision, you will perform daily tasks accurately, maintain records, and uphold safety and professionalism. Requirements include a high school diploma, 3 years phlebotomy experience, and data entry skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
• Pediatric experience needed or at least a willingness to be trained also at least 3 years phlebotomy experience required.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Explain procedures to patients and maintain confidentiality.
• Represent the company and create a trusting, professional atmosphere during phlebotomy.
• Perform daily tasks accurately under supervision and maintain required records.

Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist II for their Dickson TN location.

Responsibilities:

• The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.
