Job summary

Talentify represents a Medical Research company seeking a Phlebotomist II for their Christiansburg, VA location. You will represent the face of the company to patients and collect blood samples for lab testing.

You will maintain confidentiality, follow established procedures, document activities, and work under supervision to ensure safe, accurate specimen collection and quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
• State of Credentials Licenses Required: High school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company to patients who come in and engage with them.
• Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Explain procedures to patients and perform blood draws safely and accurately.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and confidentiality.
• Perform daily activities under the supervision of the area supervisor, maintaining records and documentation.

Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist II for their Christiansburg, VA location.

Responsibilities:

• The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
