Job summary

ICONMA is seeking a Phlebotomist II for a Cadillac, MI location. The ideal candidate will draw blood, prepare specimens for lab testing, and maintain patient confidentiality with professional conduct.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 3 years phlebotomy experience, and patient service center exposure. Medical assistant/paramedic training and phlebotomy certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience required
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
• Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must

Responsibilities

• Represent the company to patients visiting for routine care or health insights
• Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing following procedures
• Explain procedures to patients and perform blood draws skillfully and safely
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and confidentiality
• Under area supervision, perform daily activities accurately and maintain records and a professional environment

Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist II for their Cadillac MI location.

Responsibilities:

• The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.

Requirements:
