Job summary

Health First is seeking a Phlebotomist to provide quality phlebotomy service and laboratory stewardship through timely and accurate specimen collection and preparation. The role requires friendly, professional patient interactions and adherence to all policies.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, adherence to regulatory requirements, and offsite phlebotomy support as needed. Strong customer service and computer skills are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with one year of venipuncture experience.
• Or high school diploma or equivalent with proof of completion/letter from a phlebotomy training program within 90 days of employment.
• AHA BLS certification maintained.

Responsibilities

• Complies with Health First policies and accreditation requirements.
• Collects patient specimens accurately and timely; supports lab testing activities.
• Performs offsite phlebotomy services as applicable.
• Maintains patient safety and proper identification procedures.
• Demonstrates effective communication with coworkers and management; escalates when necessary.
• Provides basic computer-related tasks as needed.
