Job summary

UCHealth UCHth Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO, is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect and process blood specimens for testing in the laboratory. This on-site role runs a day shift and is paid hourly; compensation ranges from $17.19 to $25.79 per hour and is commensurate with experience.

You will label, process and deliver specimens, maintain supplies and equipment, and may perform related tasks such as clerical duties, registration, or point-of-care testing as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program.
• BLS/CPR certification before start date and valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.
• Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.
• Maintains supplies and equipment.
• Performs additional tasks such as clerical functions, registration, lab processing, send-out testing, and point-of-care testing.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
