Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Sparks, NV, working Monday to Friday from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM with rotational weekends. A state phlebotomy license is required.

Pay starts at $21.80 per hour, with potential eligibility for an annual bonus based on performance. Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, verifying orders, and maintaining logs. Benefits include comprehensive health plans, retirement options, and time-off programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Review test/client information and verify orders using lab systems.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens (labelling, centrifuging, aliquoting, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, cleaning, filing, phones, email).
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance records.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
