Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist I for its Danbury, CT location to join a Medical Research team. The role involves drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for lab testing, while adhering to established procedures to ensure safety and accuracy.

You will interact directly with patients, explain procedures, and maintain clear records. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, phlebotomy certification preferred, and at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 6 months phlebotomy experience required.
• English is required; Spanish/Portuguese helpful.

Responsibilities

• Represents the face of the company to patients during visits and for insights into health decisions.
• Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and draw blood in a safe, accurate, and trustworthy manner.
• Demonstrates leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and confidentiality of patient information.
• Under supervision, perform daily duties accurately and maintain a safe, professional environment; maintain records and documentation.

Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist I for their Danbury ,CT location.

Responsibilities

• The Phlebotomist I represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist I will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• 6 months of phlebotomy experience needed.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
• Fluent in English, Spanish/Portuguese.
