Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist I in Bradford, PA. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:15 AM to 2:45 PM, with rotational weekends. The role requires collecting specimens, handling billing data, and performing routine lab support tasks in a patient-facing environment.

Minimum pay starts at $20.00+ per hour with eligibility for annual bonus based on performance and market factors. The position emphasizes accurate data entry, adherence to procedures, and teamwork within the lab operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• One year phlebotomy experience and customer service in retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification, enter billing information, and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email).
• Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with statistics/data submission and maintenance of phlebotomy logs.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

Job Accountabilities (Responsibilities)

• Collect specimens according to established procedures. This includes, but not limited to: drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify all written and electronic orders by utilizing lab technology systems, Client contact, and approved tools.
• Ability to navigate a computer and accurately enter data is a requirement to be successful in this role.
• Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
• Processing specimens including: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport as required by test order.
• Perform all non-patient facing duties, including inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and utilizing email as appropriate.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
• Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner and based on frequency, such as maintenance logs and temperature logs.
• Complete online and in person training courses timely.

Qualifications

Required Education

• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience

• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
