Job summary

Labcorp in Worcester, MA is hiring a Phlebotomist – Hospitals to join our patient-focused team. You will perform blood draws, collect specimens for various tests, enter data accurately, and support billing processes as needed. Travel to additional sites may be required.

The role requires a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or training, or relevant hands-on experience. Prior Labcorp experience is preferred, along with strong communication and customer service skills.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 4:30am – 1:00pm

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months or more experience as an in‑patient phlebotomist.
• Current or previous LabCorp experience.

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Pay Range

$18.00 – $24.00 per hour.

Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all of the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
