Job summary

Labcorp in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary methods across age groups. You will collect specimens for drug screens and tests, enter data accurately, and handle billing when required.

Travel to additional sites is expected, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient service. The role requires a HS diploma, 1+ year phlebotomy experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to work in Tulsa, OK and surrounding cities.

Work Schedule:

Monday -Friday between the hours of 7:00AM - 5:00PM work hours will vary with one Saturday a month 8:00AM - 12:00PM

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications:

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 years or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• At least 21 years’ old
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Float Incentive:

Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
