GTT is seeking a Phlebotomist Floater in Anaheim, CA for a 3-month contract. The role requires traveling to multiple Patient Service Centers and in-office locations with rotating shifts starting as early as 5:00 AM. Onsite work is required, and applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

with no visa sponsorship available. The specialist will perform venipuncture, prepare specimens for lab testing, and maintain accurate records while delivering excellent patient service.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Ability to draw blood accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Phlebotomist - Floater

Location: Anaheim, CA

Onsite Flexibility: Onsite

Contract Details
  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 3 months
  • Pay Rate: $25.30–$31.15 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Mon–Fri with rotating weekends. Needed to cover various shifts throughout a territory ranging from 5:00 AM, 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, and 8:00 AM shifts.
  • Travel Requirements: Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations and required to cover at Patient Service Center/In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative III – Floater (PSR III) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSR III draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR III has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. The PSR III will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center, or as business needs dictate.

Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Perform verification of patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent — REQUIRED
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
  • CA state credentials/licenses required.
Required Experience
  • Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Nice-to-Have Experience
  • Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
  • Overtime availability required.
