Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our Jacksonville and Orange Park, Florida locations. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture, specimen handling, and delivering accurate patient data. This position supports multiple sites and offers an opportunity to gain diverse experience within our laboratory network.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience. A phlebotomy certification or completed training is preferred.

Labcorp isseeking aFloatPhlebotomist to work in Jacksonville and Orange Park, FL.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30AM-3:00PM

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcoholtestsetc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information inan accurateandtimelymanner
  • Process billing information and collect payments whenrequired
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel toadditionalsites when needed
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
Additional Job Standards:
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
  • Be at least 21 years’ old
  • Proventrack recordin providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communicationskills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Float Incentive:

Additional$1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
