Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our Monroe, NY team. You will perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques across patient age groups, collect specimens for various tests, and ensure accurate data entry and specimen handling.

The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, flexibility to travel to different sites, and the potential for incentive-based bonuses. A valid phlebotomy certification and/or 1 year of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Phlebotomy certification or training preferred.
• 1 year or more phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus; strong customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, tests, and other analyses.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs of patient and specimen data.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and colleagues.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Monroe, NY.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 8:00am - 5:30pm and Fridays 9:00am - 1:00pm

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
• Bilingual in Spanish

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ old

Pay Range: $17.75 - $20.00 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Float Incentive

Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
