Job summary

Labcorp in Salt Lake City is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our nationwide network of patient services. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques, collect specimens for tests, enter patient data accurately, and travel to additional sites as needed.

A High school diploma is required; phlebotomy certification or training is preferred, and a valid driver's license with a clean record is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs of patient and specimen data.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Salt Lake, UT

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday hours will vary between 6am – 6pm, and rotating Saturdays; additional days and hours may be required

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Current or prior Labcorp experience

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Be 21 years of age or older
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Float Incentive:

Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement.
