Job summary

Labcorp in Murfreesboro, TN is hiring a Float Phlebotomist to join our patient-centered team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary methods across all ages, travel to additional sites, and provide courteous service to patients.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and phlebotomy certification or training, or several months of phlebotomy experience. A valid driver’s license, flexibility, and overtime willingness are desired.

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience.
• Preferred: 1 year or more phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis; maintain logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients; travel to additional sites as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Murfreesboro, TN.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, potential Saturdays as needed

Shifts may start as early as 5am and end as late as 6pm

Coverage: Hickman, Franklin, Brentwood, Murfreesboro, Lebanon, Mt Juliet, Cookeville, Sparta, McMinnville

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Other Duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ old

We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided with opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
