Labcorp in Perth Amboy, NJ seeks a Phlebotomist Float to join our team. The role covers multiple sites with blood collection by venipuncture and capillary methods, patient-friendly service, and efficient data entry.

Minimum: high school diploma or GED and 1 year+ phlebotomy experience; preferred: 2+ years. Requirements include color vision, a valid driver's license, and flexibility for overtime and travel.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 7:00am-7:00pm and rotating Saturdays 8:00am-3:00pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards:

In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation

Be at least 21 years’ old

**Pay Range: $17.75- $25.00 per hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
