Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Florence, SC in a patient service center. This per diem/casual role offers hours as needed (Mon and Thu; up to 19 hours weekly) with opportunities to travel to additional sites. You will perform skilled specimen collection and deliver excellent patient service.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or training; 1 year of phlebotomy experience is preferred. PST incentive plan eligibility may apply.

• Phlebotomy certification or training preferred; 6+ months experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.

• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs; travel to additional sites as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist float to join our team in Florence, SC. Work Schedule: This is a Per Diem/Casual position and hours will be as needed on Monday and Thursday based upon business needs, not to exceed 19 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Other Duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed Phlebotomy training program or 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ old

Labcorp is currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided with opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
