Job summary

Labcorp in Augusta, GA is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to perform blood collections across multiple sites. You will venipuncture and collect specimens for various tests, enter data accurately, and support billing processes as needed.

The position requires phlebotomy training/certification or equivalent experience, with a schedule Monday–Friday 5:00am–7:00pm and rotating weekends. Travel to sites is expected with a focus on patient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or phlebotomy certification or completed training; 3+ months phlebotomy experience.
• Preferred: 1+ year as a phlebotomist.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens and tests as required.
• Enter patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Augusta, GA. At Labcorp we have a passion in helping people live happy and healthy lives. Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 5:00am - 7:00pm with rotating weekends, hours vary upon location.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• One year or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Have a Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ old

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
