Calqulate in Oceanside, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist to support blood collection and specimen handling in a fast-paced lab environment. The role requires venipuncture experience, proper labeling, and adherence to safety protocols.

The position is a 3-month contract with 6 AM–6 PM shifts, Monday to Friday, potential for permanent employment. Benefits are available and mileage is reimbursed for off-site pickups as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED 1-4 years of experience.

Responsabilités

• Assist in performing venipunctures and specimen handling.
• Label, centrifuge, and process specimens according to SOPs.
• Explain the blood draw process clearly to patients.
• Ensure specimens are stored and transported properly.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Maintain patient information and communicate results inquiries.
