Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a phlebotomist to join our Norfolk fixed-site team. You will assist with the blood collection process, ensuring a welcoming environment for volunteer donors while adhering to safety procedures.

Paid phlebotomy training is provided to develop your healthcare skills and career within the nation’s top humanitarian organization. The role requires customer service experience, attention to detail, and flexibility for a variable schedule.

Qualifications

• Associates degree OR a combination of education and work experience is required.
• Minimum of one year customer service experience in a public setting is required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights, good manual dexterity, and ability to sit or stand for long periods.
• Basic computer skills are required; proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
