Job summary

Advocate Health in NWGA Rome Family Medicine is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the laboratory team. Responsibilities include collecting blood from patients of all ages, processing orders, and maintaining quality control in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Must have a High School Diploma, formal phlebotomy training, licensure or certification (PBT/ASCP or equivalent) and at least one year of lab or physician office experience. The role is full-time (37 hours) with a 8:30-5:30 schedule and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy training program.
• Licensure or Certification (PBT/ASCP or equivalent) required.
• At least one year experience in a lab or physician office.

Responsibilities

• Receive orders for laboratory testing and collect blood from patients of any age.
• Issue appropriate paperwork to the Advocate laboratory or outside for processing.
• Maintain the laboratory in an efficient state and perform lab procedures with quality control.
