Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a qualified Phlebotomist to support a medical facility in McKinney, Texas. This contract role runs for approximately 13 weeks with potential extension or conversion to a permanent position. Shift is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime.

You will perform blood collection and venipuncture, ensure patient safety, label specimens, and document results. Requires 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience, current BLS certification, and strong attention

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of phlebotomy experience
• Current BLS certification
• Strong attention to detail and patient-service skills
• Ability to perform blood draws accurately and efficiently

Responsibilities

• Perform 100% blood draw/phlebotomy duties Monday through Friday.
• Arrive at the clinic by 7:45 AM to prepare for the day's patients.
• Collect blood specimens safely and accurately using appropriate venipuncture and collection techniques.
• Properly identify patients, label specimens, and ensure accurate specimen handling and processing.
• Follow established safety, infection-control, and laboratory procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure specimen integrity.
• Provide professional and compassionate patient care during blood collection.
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding patient or specimen concerns.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Overtime may be approved as needed.
