Job summary

ExamOne, A Quest Diagnostics Company in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a compassionate phlebotomist to join our client-services team. You will perform in-center exams, collect specimens for pre-employment screenings, take vitals, and ensure accurate documentation.

You should have at least 1 year of customer service and 1 year of phlebotomy experience, HS diploma, and phlebotomy certification where required. Bilingual abilities and basic Microsoft Office skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year customer service and 1 year phlebotomy with pediatric/geriatric patients.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA/NV/WA.
• Urine or hair follicle collection and EKG experience preferred.
• Spanish bilingual is a nice-to-have.
• Medical terminology background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Researches, answers, follows up and tracks client, agent, and field questions; coordinates activities between client services, the agent, and the client.
• Conducts in-center exams: vitals, medical histories, venipuncture, urine collection; collects specimens for screenings.
• Responds to needs of clients and Quest Diagnostics management and staff professionally and expediently.
• Observes compliance and safety policies; adheres to safety manual and training.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Researches, answers, follows up and tracks client, agent, and field questions appropriately and in a timely manner. This includes, but is not limited to, giving out specimen requirements, requesting additional tests and providing reports. Documents all calls and submits problem or difficult calls to the manager. Coordinates activities between client services, the agent, and the client. This includes scheduling applicants with an examiner or at a PSC site and communication agents, applicants and examiners.
• Conducts in center exams which include taking basic vitals, medical histories, venipuncture, urine collection, and EKG. Also collects specimens for pre-employment drug screenings and other Quest Diagnostics services.
• Responds to the needs and requests of clients and Quest Diagnostics management and staff in a professional and expedient manner.
• Observes all compliance policies and safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Quest Diagnostics Safety Manual or safety matters included in other special training.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Work Experience

• Minimum one year of customer service experience and one year of phlebotomy experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Preferred Work Experience

• Prefer urine or hair follicle collection and EKG experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a good-to-have skill.
• Medical terminology background is preferred.

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

Knowledge

• The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.

Skills
