The main function of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various assigned duties, trouble shooting, training and making work flow recommendations. Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, and maintaining accurate records and transport of specimens; adherence to OSHA/DEP regulations is expected.

Training will be provided and benefits are available. Minimum qualifications include a valid Phlebotomy certification (state-specific), 6 months venipuncture

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required by state.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsabilidades

• Perform blood draws, labeling specimens, and centrifuging as required.
• Record maintenance data and decontamination; update patient information.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure specimen integrity per OSHA/DEP regulations.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly to patients.
• Attend annual department trainings and respond to inquiries as needed.
