Job summary

The assignment lasts about three months with a possibility of extension or conversion. The candidate should have at least 3 years of phlebotomy experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and be able to comply with specimen handling

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Experience doing blood draws and specimen handling.
• High School Diploma or GED requirements.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure 100% accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store them per required conditions.
