Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC in Laredo, TX seeks a Phlebotomist (6137) for a 3‑month contract with potential for permanent placement. Primary duties include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging and proper storage, with assignments across two Laredo locations on a rotating schedule.

Minimum qualifications: valid state phlebotomy certification, 6 months venipuncture experience, High School diploma or GED, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure 100% correct lab labeling.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per required temperatures.
