Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Accredited Medical Assistant Program completed; Associate degree preferred.
• 1 year full-time Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Current BLS CPR certificate required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Spanish or Asian languages are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and finger sticks and document results.
• Process laboratory tests and enter results in EMR.
• Back-up for clinical team: assist with patient flow, EKGs, vital signs, and injections.
• Enter demographics and orders in the EMR; complete requisitions and labels.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies; ensure regulatory compliance (COLA/CLIA).
